Designs with Silk and Knowledge

Anita Silk is one of many companies exhibiting at BIG+BIH this April. We had the opportunity to talk with the owner, a woman who contains a wealth of knowledge about silk.
For example, did you know that:
- One silk cocoon produces 300-500 meters of silk fiber?
- The silk worm munches and thrives on mulberry leaves?
- There are two types of silk: white and yellow?
- While Thailand is known for its silk, it also gets some of its fibers from neighbors India and China?
The image you see here shows the newest colorway of Anita Silk's classic pattern, and can be seen up close and personal until April 24th in the BIG+BIH Design Hall.
